regionTanzania's major coffee growing regions include Arusha (Meru), the Moshi district on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, Oldeani in the Arusha region, Pare (the high plateau between Lake Tanganyika and Lake Nyasa), and Songea, the capital of the Ruvuma region in southeastern Tanzania near the Ruvuma River, which forms most of the southern boundary with Mozambique. The Tanzania AA FAQ Coffee is specifically grown on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. In Tanzania, "AA" denotes the largest grade of coffee beans, with a screen size of 17/18, while "FAQ" stands for "Fair to Average Quality" in the Tanzanian coffee grading system.
