PROCAFE is a Cooperative that began as a group of coffee producers in 2001, in the Municipality of San Juan del Río Coco, department of Madriz, with 174 associates of which 70 are women and 104 are men. It arose from the need to commercialize and market the coffee production of each of the associates and provide the most needed services on the farms and at the same time improve the income and standard of living of the coffee producing families in each community of this Municipality.
