Among the plans to improve its members lives, Cafemex has a program for coffee plants renovation since “la roya” took its toll on 70% of their plantations. Also, they are searching to improve the quality of their coffee from the seed to the cup with technical training and courses. The cooperative is also searching for the involvement of the younger generations so when the transition happens they have the tools and are prepare to continue with their mothers and fathers work.
