Sandy and Operations at NJ/NY Warehouses

As most people are aware, the situation is quite overwhelming, with power still out to millions and supplies being scarce, especially along the shore areas.

Our prayers and thoughts go out to any who have to endure any hardship at this time.

While the situation will improve from day to day, the ramifications of the storm are still being assessed. 

Continental Terminals,  one the leading warehouses of green coffee and where we at N J Douek store a majority of our bags, has reported some possible damage due to the surge, at one their facilities. As far as we can see, our bags are probably not located at that particular facility. Also please remember that we can arrange for deliveries to you from Montreal. Regarding pick ups, we understand that Conti is taking appointments for load outs starting Monday, but patience and understanding are the order of the day of course.    

The situation at the port remains a big concern at the moment, and no doubt there will be much backlog. Needless to say,  our staff is dedicating more time than usual to the flow of shipments and they are constantly in touch with steamship lines. Please call if you'd like further info.
