Santa María Farm is located in Dipilto, Nueva Segovia, a region with a rich history of coffee cultivation. The farm, owned by Víctor Robelo, spans 50 hectares at an altitude of 1,400 meters, where Caturra coffee is carefully grown and tended to.
Víctor and the team at the farm are deeply involved in every step +of the process, from the hand-picking of the coffee to its processing at the farm’s own wet mill. Afterward, the coffee is carefully dried in Matagalpa. The farm is committed to working closely with the local community, ensuring sustainable practices that protect both the land and the environment. Every year, Santa María Farm plants about 15,000 new coffee plants, ensuring the farm’s future while supporting the local community. By reusing coffee by-products for compost and natural fertilizers, Víctor maintains a strong focus on sustainability. Located in Jinotega, in the northern part of Nicaragua, the farm benefits from the region’s ideal conditions for coffee growing, a tradition the local community continues to nurture. |
