Juan Pohlenz Dieckmann founded Finca Custepec in 1911. The family has been dedicated to production, milling and exportation of the highest Altitude Coffee produced in Mexico. They continued their effort to grow a sustainable and friendly ecological coffee. Finca Soledad, is one parcel of Finca Custepec. This second block has been systematically renovated, these blocks has variety Pacas of which they found in El Salvador in 1949 a natural mutation of Bourbon with Caturra variety.
Geographical Situation
Finca Custepec is located in the Highest Mountains of Chiapas, at 981 Meters above sea level. Their total area is 2,243 hectares, of which 1,136 are for coffee production and 1,107 hectares are for rainforest. Finca Custepec is located within el Triunfo Biosphere Reserve buffer zone and contributes to conservation through the implementation of sustainable practices in shade-grown coffee plantations.
