About Swiss Water Process
The Swiss Water Process, also known as the osmosis decaffeination method, is one of the most natural and environmentally friendly techniques for removing caffeine from coffee. This process begins by soaking the coffee beans in hot water, allowing the caffeine and flavors to dissolve. The beans are then removed, and the water is filtered using activated charcoal filters to remove the caffeine. The beans are then reintroduced into the water to reabsorb their complex aromas and natural flavors, ensuring a rich and flavorful decaffeinated coffee. This process is particularly recommended for people sensitive to caffeine, such as pregnant women or those with heart conditions, while preserving the taste qualities of the coffee.
