CAFISUR was established on August 20, 1966, by 102 coffee growers, supported by the National Federation of Coffee Growers – Tolima Committee. It was created in response to the challenges faced by local coffee farmers in marketing their crops and the need for a dedicated institution to regulate input prices and provide welfare services to its members. Today, it stands as the Cooperative of Coffee Growers of Southern Tolima.
